When Old Original Bookbinder's sought out a new location, they wanted to find a place with a rich history, an appreciation for good food and a spot with the right atmosphere. Like the first restaurant’s home in Philadelphia, the Old Original Bookbinder’s in Richmond is in a historic district close to the river in a former tobacco warehouse. The beautifully appointed dining room is divided into smaller, intimate alcoves that collectively seat up to 225 guests, including the open air brick courtyard for dining al fresco.

Our Richmond restaurant carries on many of the same traditions as the original: the highest quality, fresh ingredients expertly prepared by our talented chefs. The menu combines traditional dishes with innovative preparations like sweet encrusted mahi mahi served with a roasted red pepper corn relish. The daily specials offer our chefs an opportunity to express their creative flair with innovative, unusual and delicious preparations of soups, appetizers, entrées and desserts.
